Veracity hosted a writing competition with FilQahera, themed in Ancient Egyptian Heritage, History, and Culture as part of our mission to redefining art in Egypt. Egypt's entire history is build on art, whether in the form of written transcripts or drawn symbols, and we aimed to encourage Egyptian artists to explore their own heritage.

Veracity's Writing Competition in Collaboration with FilQahera
Veracity is proud to announce that we will be hosting a September Writing Competition in collaboration with FilQahera as a step of our long-term goal to encourage young artists to spread and flourish in their desired fields of art.

The competition is themed Ancient Egyptian Heritage, History, and Culture

We will accept both prose and poetry pieces

Winners will receive discounted tickets to a FilQahera trip

All submitters will receive a one-page editorial feedback from our editors on their submitted piece

The deadline for the competition is 30th of September at 11:59 PM Cairo time

Guidelines and criteria
Kindly note the following important criteria when submitting your pieces for consideration in this competition:

Pieces that do not correspond with our theme will not be considered

Previously published works cannot be submitted for this competition

The word count for both prose and poetry is 600 - 2500
-
If a writer uses any Franco/Arabic, please make sure to include translations in the footnotes of your work

Furthermore, please make sure you submit an editable google document link with a Times New Roman font at 12 points and 1.5 line spacing.
