Judy Khaled
Founder and Editor-in-Chief
Judy Khaled is an Egyptian high school senior with a passion for art and literature. She is the founder of Veracity, a student-led initiative that aims to encourage young artists to spread and flourish in their desired fields of art. Her love for art began with her love for writing when she realized it would be possible to delve into millions of worlds with the power of fiction. She founded her school newspaper where she is also currently the Editor-in-Chief. She also has experience working as an editor for the Aster Lit magazine. Outside of her writing, Judy enjoys holding deep philosophical conversations with friends and indulging in quality time by doing spontaneous activities.
Hadeel Wesam is a highschool junior and an aspiring writer & artist!! Some of her favourite things to do are sketch, listen to music and go on walks with her friends. She hopes to be an inspiration to people!!

Hajar is a writer at veracity, from Cairo, Egypt. She believes that art is a skill to express ourselves either by music, photography, painting, etc… Hajar thinks that eastern art is special, especially Egyptian art, their music, their architecture, their view, their movies, their beliefs are different.

Jumana is an extremely chaotic person but still manages to express her creativity by discovering new things everyday. She thinks she’s always right while always messing around but it’s okay because we all live to learn and experience new things everyday.
Jezley Drogtrop

Jezley has been passionate about writing from a young age, with a deep and enduring fascination for Egypt that has always inspired her. This interest, combined with her writing talent, makes her perfect to work at Veracity, where she effortlessly blends creativity and knowledge in her work. Jezley’s unique perspective and her constant pursuit of innovation and depth make her an invaluable asset to the team.
Marina is a Co-Editor-In-Chief living in Cairo. She is the greatest art enthusiast, and a writer for what remains unsaid. She always expresses deep powerful emotions and experiences symbolically within her art—both writing and painting—and loves research to understand everything more.
Sania Khan

Sania is an Indian writer based in the UAE and studies journalism and creative writing. Her work has been published in The RedBeat Magazine and she is working on her own book (shh shh, it’s a secret). When she’s not immersed in her coursework, she is getting matcha after her morning yoga with her soul sisters. Sania enjoys anime, art and Gilmore Girls (yes, she likes Paris Geller the most).
Menna Badawy

Menna was born 19 years ago, but the actual year was the year she discovered poetry. And it has been the fuel of her journey ever since. She found in poetry a sheltered place to express one’s feelings and how it can make you feel less lonely in a huge depressed world. So she paved her way to help people feel what she felt so they can know that they aren’t alone. She wrote a book that is going to be published soon. She also applied in a poetry contest for Manchester Metropolitan University. Moreover, she won first place for narrating English poetry in Cairo governorate and joined Veracity. She believes her journey is yet to be continued, and Veracity is a new start.
Ali Eldhaw

Ali Eldhaw is an aspiring journalist, poet and graphic designer specialised in football. He aims to have an impact on the world through his art and use his news reporting skills to be a voice for the voiceless.
Laila Kadry is a 17 year old Egyptian student and Co-Editor in Chief at Veracity. As a child, she was always surrounded by creativity and expression. She grew up to love literature. What she couldn't say, she could write. What she couldn't think of the words for, she found through other people's words in books and poems. A dream of hers is to live in a world where everyone—including the youth—is seen and heard, and through Veracity, she hopes that such an environment could finally be cultivated in Egypt.
Ximena Quintana

Ximena is an Art Historian from Ecuador. She loves to learn about all art forms and about all types of cultures. She loves symbolism, mythology and also loves to learn about the artists lives and how this reflects on their work. She also enjoys writing, mainly mystery and thriller, she is working on writing more short and long form pieces. She believes you can learn from everyone no matter their age or background.

Alaa is a content creator in Veracity that thrives to deliver engaging and relatable social content. She enjoys learning about different cultures; from languages, cuisine, attire and films. Her favourite colours involve any pastels. She's an animal person that loves all pets. She's a person who enjoys watching Kdramas and TV shows in her free time.
Suereya Abdella

Suereya is an editor with a passion for reading and helping writers succeed. She provides critical insights and feedback ensuring accuracy and effective communication. She looks forward to the success of her clients like it were her own.
Abdoulrahman Basha is a Co-Director of Social Media alongside being a designer in Veracity. He always had faith in the one thing that never let him down, which was art. He likes editing out collage pictures and finding ways to tell new stories, putting the world we live in a whole different perspective. Other than designing, he enjoys spending time around family and friends. His music taste is versatile, and some of the artists he currently enjoys listening to include: SZA, Taylor Swift, Lana Del Rey, The Weekend, Cigarettes After Sex, Olivia Rodrigo, and Billie Eilish. Yousef Khaled
Content Creator
Yousef is a content creator for the Veracity team with 4 years of experience. He was a gaming content creator back in 2020 where he wanted to start YouTube and TikTok for fun. After 3 months of posting clips on TikTok, Yousef decided to collaborate with one of his content creator friends and they shared a TikTok account together. In 2021, Yousef and his friend reached 13.6k followers in a span of 5 months. Yousef then learned the appropriate timings for uploading videos based on their followers’ activity.
Honey Patel

Honey Patel is a passionate student of the arts. In her free time, she not only enjoys watching movies and reading books, but also creative writing. Her creativity and tenacity extends to her other skills including coding and other academic pursuits.
